Fleming Agri success at the Insider Made in Northern Ireland Awards

On Friday 13th May, a group from Fleming Agri Products attended the Insider Made in Northern Ireland Awards at the Titanic Hotel in Belfast. Now in their ninth year, the awards recognise and reward the excellence of the manufacturing sector in Northern Ireland and showcase the successful achievements of innovative and forward-thinking businesses across the whole region.

Fleming Agri Products were delighted to win the Manufacturing Apprenticeship/Training Scheme Award and apprentice welder Chloe Rankin made the final three in the Apprentice of the Year award.

The company has a long association with the North West Regional College and have trained many apprentices over the past thirty years. More recently Adrian Wilson has been appointed as an internal welding training officer to help new recruits settle into the program and to provide one to one mentoring. He started his career in Fleming’s over forty years ago and is now helping to develop and promote welding as a career for all our new recruits. The company has recognised the benefit of spending time with both apprentice welders and more recently new spray recruits and are keen to promote the idea of investing in the youth of today for the benefit of tomorrow.
